In this tutorial we will show you how to install QSWAT, QGIS interface for SWAT.

1. Download the required installers

To start with the installation it is necessary to have the QGIS 2.6, QSWAT 1.4 and QSWAT EDITOR installers already downloaded. Here you can find the download links:

QGIS 2.6: http://qgis.org/downloads/QGIS-OSGeo4W-2.6.1-1-Setup-x86.exe
QSWAT 1.4: http://swat.tamu.edu/media/115522/qswat-14.zip
QSWAT EDITOR: http://swat.tamu.edu/media/115521/swateditor_install_201210_219_20170201041124705.zip

2. Install QGIS 2.6

Extract the file named QGIS-OSGeo4W-2.6.1-1-Setup-x86.exe. Follow the steps clicking Next, Accept, Next, and Install until the installation is finished.

When the instalallation is finished, it will be required to restart the computer.

3. Install QSWAT 1.4

Find the downloaded file qswat-14.zip and extract it. In the qswat-14 folder, double click on the installer QSWATinstall1.4.exe.

Click Install and continue with the installation until it is finished.

4. Install SWAT Editor

Find the downloaded file swateditor_install_201210_219_20170201041124705.zip and extract it. Inside the SwatEditor_Install folder, select the Setup.exe file.

When double clicking it, the SWATEditor installation window will appear. Click Next until the installation is finished.

5. Install QSWAT in QGIS

Open QGIS 2.6.1 (which was installed in Step 2. Go to Plugins > Manage and Install Plugins as shown here:

Type "Swat" in the Search bar until QSWAT appears. Select it and click where it says Install plugin (in this case, it says "Reinstall plugin" because I have already installed it.
